Huawei P30 Lite

With the launch of the P30 range comes the Huawei P30 Lite – a fantastic budget smartphone for those who want a high-performing phone for far less!

While, technically, the P30 Lite is a much cheaper version of the P30 and P30 Pro, the Lite still packs in several key features that retain the spirit of the P30 range including a high-quality camera and a striking design.

Visually?

The P30 Lite doesn’t have too much in common with its more expensive ‘siblings’ – apart from the colourful design of the phone and of course, the notch.

Available in 3 different colours; Pearl White, Midnight Black, and Peacock Blue – you’ll certainly be ending up with an attractive device no matter which one you go for.

The Lite also houses several features that you’d expect from any current Huawei device. It’s slim, has curved 3G glass on the rear, and stores its three cameras in a row within a raised platform.

Of course, Huawei made sure to include a fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, it’s not the newly introduced in screen one, though. The scanner is housed on the back of the phone, much like more traditional models.

The more affordable P30 Lite also consists of 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage – which for what it’s worth, is a really great deal.

Even better? The handset has a large 6.15” Full-HD LCD Display – great for browsing and viewing content. The streaming quality is great (for a budget smartphone), the brightness is good, quality crisp, and the colours show well on screen.

As for the cameras?

The Huawei P30 Lite houses three cameras on the rear. One with a 24MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

The front camera is great too, with a 32MP sensor – great for capturing those little details. It doesn’t just stop at the camera, either. There are tons of great features to edit photos, too.

Battery-wise?

While slightly on the smaller side at 3,340mAh – the battery is still good. If you don’t go overboard on high powered apps, you should easily be able to get through a day of moderate usage.

Our conclusion?

Managing to blur the lines between the price of a budget smartphone with the features of a mainstream flagship – Huawei’s P30 Lite is an impressive device for its cost.

With the attractive design, proficient cameras and high-tech features, along with a large screen – what more could you ask for?
