O2 Finally Launches 5G Network – But Not Everywhere!

O2 have finally rolled out their 5G Network, but unless you live in one these 6 cities, you won’t be able to access it yet!

Users living in either London, Leeds, Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh, or Slough will now have access to O2’s 5G Network.

Don’t live in any of these cities?

Don’t fret! By the year end, O2 have promised to launch the network in 20 cities – and 50 by summer 2020.

Following EE, Vodafone, and Three – O2 is the last of the major providers to roll out their 5G network – but certainly not the least.

Mark Evans, UK CEO, said; “Today is a significant moment for our customers and our business as we switch on the O2 5G network. We’re launching with a range of tariffs that make it easy and fair for customers to access 5G, with flexible plans that cost no more than 4G. We’re also switching on 5G in important parts of towns and cities first, places where it will benefit customers and businesses most.”

He continued by explaining that he believes 5G will revolutionize how businesses and individuals use mobile networks – in turn unlocking huge possibilities for both society and the economy.

From today, all O2 users will have 5G available to them – with new customers even being offered 5G plans for 4G prices – with the cheapest tariff coming in at just £25 a month!

And for all you business owners out there, O2 have also launched business tariffs – suiting businesses of every size!

Pretty incredible, right?
