Samsung E900 |
This phone is smaller than the slimmest slider
ever!
|

The E900 is the cheaper, smaller brother to the D900 which was best
selling phone of Spring 2007.
This phone is smaller in size and predominately features most of the
same... errr features! See below.
The super slim D900 is the world's slimmest slider phone at launch, and
came complete with a high quality 3 megapixel camera. The E900 on the
other hand has only a 2 mega pixel camera but it does include both a
flash and autofocus! The E900 is tri-band rather than Quad band like
it's older brother.
And where the D900 is the world's slimmest slider phone - the E900 is
smaller in height and has a unique glass like display. It also has a
fully-featured music player with expandable memory - so throw away your
ipod!
Samsung have really perfected the slide design, and the E900 is also
silky smooth. Looks aren't everything however, so let's move on to the
next reason for choosing the E900 - its 2 megapixel camera with
autofocus and built in flash! It gives great results. The video camera
is also of high quality and records in MPEG4 format. The display on the
E900 is very finely detailed with outstanding clarity and truly does do
justice to the phone's 2 Megapixel camera.

Music to your ears
Now on to the music player. This handles all the formats - MP3, ACC,
ACC+ and e-AAC+. The player is easy to use with playlists of up to 30
tracks and you can use the stereo headset supplied by Samsung or a
wireless Bluetooth headset. If you're serious about using the phone as
an MP3 player you can buy a Micro SD card - a 512 Mbyte card costs
around £15.
Unfortunately there's still no radio included but all the other features
you'd expect - messaging, email, MP3 ringtones, speakerphone, Java
games, etc, etc. Plus one or two bonus features:
Summary: All in all a fantastic outing by Samsung again,
they've produced a super slim, feature packed mobile phone with great
business tools and business features integrated! However, in our eyes it's pretty
simple really... The D900 has a better camera, network capability and is
much thinner (it's slightly bigger though) but most of the other features
are the same. So there's no real reason to choose the E900 over the D900
