EE Comes Out on Top in UK Performance Tests
Once again, EE has proved itself the UK’s leading network..
Have you ever wondered what exactly makes a mobile network great? Want to find out?
Often when we’re considering which network is best for our devices, we like to get down with the facts and figures of it all.
At BusinessMobiles, we consider ourselves to be the experts on mobile phones – and with the help of RootMetrics, we’re going to let you in on everything you need to know…
Impressively, with a clean sweep of all six awards during RootMetrics’s new rounds of testing, EE has been named the leading mobile operator in the UK.
Following several rigorous rounds of testing conducted by the mobile industry’s barometer for network performance – EE came out on top for the 11th consecutive time since 2013 with a score of 94.5 out of 100, based on their incredible reliability, speed, data, call, and text performance.
How was that concluded, you ask?
The result was achieved following a total of 600,476 tests being carried out, 20,294 miles driven, 652 indoor locations tested and 100% of the population covered.
In response to EE’s impressive results, the head of product at RootMetrics stated of the BT-owned network; “EE’s strong performance in testing is testament to the consistent investment into improving its 4G network.”
But what about all the other networks?
As for the remaining of the UK’s four main operators; Three, Vodafone, and O2 – Vodafone had a strong overall performance in network speed, data performance and text performance, coming in at second place. Following closely was Three, with a strong performance in call testing and re-emphasising their reliability.
Unfortunately, much like the prior rounds of testing last year, O2 came in fourth place – ranking last in four of the six categories.
What are your thoughts? Will you be switching to EE?
